I know they’re a corporate chain now, but Barnes & Noble has been in continuous operation since 1886 and has always had a store in NYC, though they’ve been in various locations.

Otto’a Bookstore in Williamsport, Pa has been open since 1841.

Livingston, Montana’s Sax & Fryer Books has been in operation since 1883 — and it’s been in either the Sax or Fryer families for its entire history. Currently owned by John Fryer, grandson of the John Fryer who became a partner with John Sax in 1911. The store was here six years before Montana became a state!
